Carey who's 5'10" tall and was once an iconic American fashion model. Designers of the top calibre, including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren were awestruck by her. Her father was a distinguished geologist, who was in 1979 named Scientist of the year by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey was brought up across the globe because of her father's career. When she finished her studies at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, she began to do modeling as a side. This caught the eye of a Ford Model Agency New York. Her move to France in the year 1980, and lived for a short time in Paris as well as Bordeaux prior to deciding to move back home to New York to continue with her education at college and build a modeling career. Soon, she was being featured on the cover of Vogue, Glamour, etc. Between her modelling assignments she also studied the study of literature during her time at New York University. Then she became interested in acting and began taking classes in the Neighborhood Playhouse of New York. She had a small part in Club Paradise with Robin Williams In 1986. She spends her free time skiing, white-water rafting, windsurfing, and rock climbing.
