Lee has written Terry Prather, SeaWorld's president, in protest at Tilikum's treatment of Tilikum. Lee believes that the animal should be released, and he stated that SeaWorld could not be a good partner as Tilikum is their primary donor of sperm. Lee said he was shocked by SeaWorld's insanity and twisted methods for obtaining Tilikum Sperm. Lee concluded that he wished to avoid any more tragedies of trainers getting killed, because these tragedies had resulted from the whales' aversion to captivity.
