AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player is a striker for San Diego Wave FC (NWSL), which is the top level of women's soccer in United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team from 2018 until 2020 along with Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. [8][99 Morgan was picked as number one in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she completed her degree early at the University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional there , and was a key player in the team's winning the league title. Morgan, who was 22 at the time was the youngest player on the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team was runner-up. In the 123rd minute of the semi-final match against Canada at the 2012 London Olympics she scored the game-winning goal. She finished 2012 with 28 goalsand 21 assists and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score 20 and 20 goals. This made her the sixth-youngest U.S. player ever to achieve 20 goals in one season. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year, Morgan was also an FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan also helped the United States win their titles in the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, where she was named to the Dream Team for both tournaments, while she won the Silver Boot in 2019.
